How do you survive the Underworld?

To survive the Underworld for one you must have a light heart and have done good things in life. I don't think I would want to take out my heart and weigh it with a feather.(Read: What happens if your heart is heavier than a feather.) Another thing they needed was the Book of the Dead. The Book of the Dead

..consisted of spells that the deceased or dead would need to know to defeat the hard challenges on the was to Afterlife. The book was also used to rid off evil spirits. One other thing was extremely important...Creepy :$

The map of the Underworld and Afterlife printed on their coffins when they die. I wouln't want a map of a so called "bad" place on my coffin.!.!.!

Whart is the Afterlife?

Afterlife: Life after death. To have an Afterlife people must be devoted to the Gods and Goddesses while living. Special preparations must be made when an Egyptian dies. The Underworld with held tests to be allowed to go to Afterlife. If you did not pass these tests you could not go the Afterlife and you could not live forever. I so would not want to live forever! If my life was done it was done not domed to live forever in a bad place! For the dead to survive the journey to Afterlife they must memorize the Book of The Dead and their relatives must bring food to their tombs everyday.

What happens if your heart is heavier than a fether?

In the weighing of the heart ceremony you must weigh your heart with a feather. If you heart is lighter than the feather you may move on in the journey to afterlife... If it is heavier than the feather you will be faced with the God Osiris and a monster called the Swallower. The Swallower is a deamon that is part lion, alligator and hippo. SCARY! He will eat your heart and the journey to afterlife is over... Wouldn't want that to happen would you?

Afterlife

Once you enter the Underworld everything changes... After undergoing the tests you are allowed to go to a so called paradise. It consists of good, natural features and bad unnatural features like lakes of fire. If also holds the God of the Underworld and Evil... Osiris... In the afterlife you are doomed to live forever.
In Egypt that was a good thing... Some paradise!!!

In my opinion it is a bad place.

Osiris is the supreme ruler/God of the Underworld and evil. :[
There are many natural features in the Underworld Paradise. Some features include mountains,lakes and forests. "Paradise" also holds hazardous things such as lakes of fire and a mound in which held a head called Isis Flesh. Paradise isnt really paradise at all in my opinion!.!. Another reason it may be a what you call bad place is because Osiris is the ruler. Would you want a ruler who is also the ruler of evil?
I wouldn't...
